    Before launching your AI proof of concept, ensure you can answer "yes" to these questions:

    Scope & Definition

    • [ ]Have we identified a specific, real business problem (not just "try AI")?
    • [ ]Can we complete the POC in 4-6 weeks?
    • [ ]Have we defined what "success" looks like with specific metrics?
    • [ ]Is this problem important enough to matter but safe enough to experiment?

    Stakeholder Alignment

    • [ ]Have we involved actual end users in the design?
    • [ ]Does IT/technical team understand what's required to support this?
    • [ ]Has leadership committed to reviewing results and making a decision?
    • [ ]Do we have executive sponsorship if the POC succeeds?

    Infrastructure & Data

    • [ ]Do we have access to the data this POC needs?
    • [ ]Is the data quality sufficient for testing?
    • [ ]Have we addressed any security or compliance concerns?
    • [ ]Can we integrate with existing systems if needed?

    Success Criteria

    • [ ]Have we established baseline metrics for current performance?
    • [ ]Do we know what measurable improvement would justify moving forward?
    • [ ]Have we identified what we'll learn even if the POC "fails"?
    • [ ]Is there a clear next step planned based on POC results?
